Preview Word & Excel files without opening the file...

I use Win XP SP2 and Office XP.

In a former version of Office say 2000, I was able to right click on a file
within a folder or on my desktop and get a pre-view or peek at the file. I
used to do it with Word or Excel files. I don't think this function is
available with XP. Am I missing something, perhaps an add-in or other?
