Previous vs Current Notes

When do the notes a user enters in on My Tasks either when in My Tasks using
Add a Note or when going into the Task Details move from the Current Notes
window at the bottom into the Previous Notes window at the top - we have not
seen notes move to the top window even if an addition is made to the note
several days after the initial note was entered

Hi RQ,

not sure if i understand your question, but generally the notes are appended
to the previous notes which you can view within the task notes.

Marc,

Thanks - I will try to clarify the question - when you open the notes either
by selecting the Notes in the Task Details of My Tasks or by selecting the
Note icon in My Tasks for a note already entered - if you place the mouse in
the top box it says previous notes, slide the mouse to the bottom box it says
Current Notes. All of our notes stay in the bottom box under Current Notes.
The question I have been asked is when does a note moves from the bottom
Current Notes box to the top of the window pane where it looks like Previous
Notes are stored.

Marc,

Actually what I am seeing is not good - when a task is approved that
contains a note - I can read the note in the Task Update screen, Accept the
task but then in the MS Project Plan - the note icon shows up but the text in
the note is gone. When I republish the plan - the note is no longer on the
task - the icon is gone and in task details the note is now blank.

Is there a known bug with notes - we have SP1, no Infrastructure update yet.

hmmmm, that is interesting. I dont know of a bug in regards to the notes to
be honest. It may be worht logging a MS call.
