Primary key entered incorrectly; can't fix on form

Hello,
I hope this is the correct group for this question. I am using Access
2002. I have four related tables with the same 3-field primary key
(district, facility, and patient number). The data for one record that can
span all four tables are entered on the same form. One of the data entry
clerks entered the wrong facility for a number of records. I tried
changing it on the edit form, but when I try and save a corrected record I
get a message box with "Could not update; currently locked." I tried
creating an update query, but it couldn't change any records due to key
violations.
Is there any way to change a field that's part of the primary key
without deleting the record and re-entering it?

Theresa
