Print a poster to letter size

Does anyone know how to print a 18" X 24" size poster
(this is the page size) to an 8.5" X 11" output page. In
essence I'd like to scale the poster size down to fit on a
letter size page.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with Publisher, and everthing to do with
your printer driver. I use a Canon i9950 and, in the printer properties
under 'Page Setup', there is a drop-down menu marked 'printing type'. There
I have the option to either 'fit to page' or for 'scaled printing' - the
latter will do what you wish (assuming your printer driver has such a
function). If it doesn't, then I don't know what to suggest - grouping and
pasting to a smaller sized page, perhaps?

It may help to know which version of Publisher are
you using. And...was this poster created with Publisher?

I agree, I do have different options with the two
different printers that I am connected to. However, these
scaling options still don't give me the option to print to
a page size of 8.5" x 11". When I scale the document down,
it prints smaller but still tiles onto multiple pages???
