Print blank pages on back of cover page

Hello to all (in)official MVPs

I am not reiterating the frequent question on how to print on both sides. I am already doing this. However, I can't seem to make it work so that the back of the cover page stays blank. Despite using an odd section break, the table of contents prints on the back of the cover page, which I don't want. Now, if I insert another page break to force a blank page, I get 4 additional blank pages when printed. I.e. one comletely empty sheet of paper and the table of contents on the back of the third sheet

Any ideas? My current workaround is to print a PDF file including the intentional empty pages, but there MUST be a way in Word to do it right!?

Make sure Word knows you're duplexing. In addition to using the Odd Page
break, select "Mirror margins" in the dropdown on the Margins tab of Page
Setup (in Word 2002; in earlier versions it's a check box). Do this even if
you don't intend to have different inside and outside margins. Whether
enabling "Different odd and even" would also help, I don't know; it would
require you to duplicate headers/footers if you're currently using only one.

Also, check your page numbers. When you're duplexing, Word will assume that
an odd page number indicates a recto page. Some users have gotten into
trouble trying to print page 2 on a recto page (though if you've got an Odd
Page break, that doesn't appear to be the case).
