Print Default settings

Does anyone know of a way to set Excel to default to Landscape instead of
Portrait at opening?

The only way I know to do this is to set to landscape and save as book1.xls,
then open it everytime.

You're close. Save it as a Template, called Book.xlt, and place it in your
XLStart directory (in a place like C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\XLStart)
Now every time you start Excel or create a new workbook, you have it.

Bob,

I tried this and save it, at first I thought that it had changed, but it
still kept the Portrait orientation. Anyother idea?

Try it one more time. And remember to change the orientation on all the sheets
in that book.xlt template file.

Each time you click on the new icon, that new workbook will inherit all the
settings from that template file.

And if you want all new worksheets added to existing workbooks to have that same
setting, create a single sheet template and save it as sheet.xlt.

Thanks! I'm sure that it works but I can't get it to. After going to each
sheet in the default blank page and setting the orientation to Landscape,
then saving it as a book1.xlt in any default folder it doesn't work. When I
launch Excel again, I still get the portrait as the default orientation.
