You definitely need to download and install the latest Office X updates,
which are 10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary). They¹re
available from Microsoft. Simply applying them all might fix the problem.

If that doesn't help, try repairing permissions.
For OS 10.2.x:
Go to Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities. Open up Disk Utility. Select
your hard disk, then click the First Aid tab. Click the button to "Repair
Disk Permissions".

Run Disk First Aid. Instructions on how to run it in OS X are located on
the Apple Knowledge Base.

You might be able to find some more help at the Word MVP FAQ.

I have the same problem, but only from networked computers trying to access
the shared printer on the server. I'm running Office v.X 10.1.5, and 10.2.8
MacOS on all computers. A "Command- Print" or choosing File->Print crashed
the application every time when trying to print to the shared printer
connected to the G4 via a wired network. Interestingly, clicking the print
button in the tool bar works without problems. These commands work fine on
the computer to which the printer is connected.

I have run fsck -y and have fixed permissions and the problem still is
present.

Any additional help or insight that anyone has would be appreciated.

Steve
