I have been trying to print a 4 page newsletter in
publisher 2002. the pages are set up as 8.5 x 11, i am
trying to get them to print on an 11 x 17. i can get it
to print in the correct order, but the problem... the
pages are getting scaled down rather than staying the size
of 8.5 x 11. how do i solve this?? Help!

In your printer driver (File > Page Setup > Printer and Paper), set the page
size to 11 x 17.
Then in Page Setup, set the publication up for Booklet

If you have a HP there is a "Zoom Smart" feature, there is this feature on other
printers with a name similar, you could have it enabled to print on a standard letter
size paper.

The text is still getting scaled down??? I want it to
print out an 8.5 x 11 on each side of the 11 x 17- there
has to be a way, i think i have tried just about
everything.

It isn't scaling the text down - the text is exactly the same size as it
would be if yo printed to an 8.5 x 11" sheet. The problem is that it is
failing to scale it up.
This is not Publisher's fault. You need to design your publication at the
size you want to print it. Alternatively, use oom Smart or similar
features, as Mary suggested, or you could try creating a PDF at 8.5 x 11"
and using Acrobat Reader to print it to an 11 x 17" sheet, telling it to
