print option on office 2003

I recently purchased a new Dell with XP and loaded
standard office 2003. The print option keeps defaulting
to "fax" and takes several tries or different approches
before going to print option. once that happens it prints
OK. Is there a setting I have missed or is this just one
of the issues with office 2003

Go to Start + Settings + Printers (or whatever the correct Win XP
route in the Start menu is. I'm on Win 2k right now), and right-click
on the printer that you want to be the default printer. Select "Set
as default printer".
