Print Preview Diff from Printout

hi there, got a printing problem with Word 2003 that i hope u guys can help.
managed to find a 'solution' on the database about switching Final in
Reviewing tab and printing from print preview window but all didnt work for
my case.

problem is that my doc margins are set correctly at 1" all round,
header/footer 0.5" from edge with no gutter. print preview looks perfect but
printout is not WYSIWYG, i.e. left and bottom margin are set further inwards
than 1"; more empty spaces than it is suppose to be.

tks in advance.

If you have Track Changes on and balloons enabled, and if you print from a
view showing markup, you will get extra space in the right margin (by
default) even if the current page has no balloons. If you switch to Final or
Original view (without markup), you'll get the specified margins. Or you
can, in the Print dialog, specify "Document" rather than "Document with
markup"; the latter is the default setting if you print from a view showing
markup.

Thanks for the reply Suzanne. Followed your instructions to the letter but
print out's margin is still set inwards, and its at the left and bottom
margins. Selected Final and Document but to no avail. Have thought it was
my printer driver but reloaded one newer version from website but problem
still exists. And its happening only to Word, not Excel, Powerpoint or PDF
etc. Any other advice pls?

If this were Word 2007, I'd say, "Welcome to the club," but this is
anomalous behavior for 2003 (except with markup). I'm stumped.
