There could be any number of reasons, but before anyone can hazard a guess -
let alone offer a meaningful reply - you'll need to provide a more detailed
description of the circumstances.

Start with exact version numbers of Office & OS X, a description of the
document content, whether "document will not show up" means that the Print
Preview widow displays nothing at all or whether the document shows up (you
see the page) but displays no content.

Also, are you referring to Word's Print Preview or the preview in the Print
dialog? Is it a document you created or one you received from another
source? What else can you offer - without details our hands are tied.

Then the first thing I'd suspect is that the problem is due to both Office &
OS X being out of date - Office 2004 should be at 11.5.1, so you're way
behind there. Tiger should also be updated to 10.4.11 - not as far behind
but the update should still be done.

Do the OS X update first, then in one of the Office apps use Help> Check or
Updates to get your software current. Afterwards run Disk Utility - Repair
Disk Permissions on your hard drive.

In view of the fact that everything else is in need of updating I'd also
suggest you check the mfr's site for an update to your printer driver.

If you continue to have problems once everything is updated post a new
message with complete details.
