In Microsoft Publisher 2007 update of 2003 the Print Preview comes up black

This is a known issue and I reported it last year. If you really need to see
a color print preview, select a different printer, preview the file, then
change it back to the one you are going to use to print your publication.
(It seems to be occuring more often with some HP printers.)

In addition to JoAnn's response, if your printer is not a color printer you will
not get a color preview unlike previous versions. I have HP printers, they
preview correctly.
