Print screens not seen in document

I work on a help desk and have been unable to resolve -- None of the normal
culprits here - picture placeholders is not selected; I've tried changing the
file type to RTF, tried grayscaling, resizing, macros security, compress
settings, all the settings under tools>options>view and print -- and the same
result occurs with each new guess -No viewable image. No box, nothing but a
blank space where the image should be.These specific images are screen caps -
Despite not viewing they do print out - doesn't seem to matter about wrap
point settings - I can find no explanation, and nothing is in the MS KB about
possible bugs. I just don't think there is a setting in Word I haven't tried
to get these images to display. This is not unique to one doc, but for all
docs - using Word XP SP3. Anyone have any advise on this one??

Just saw this today. You may have recently installed a new monitor. Try Start
| Control Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot and click the
hardware acceleration slider down a few notches.
