Print to file

please tell me how to make my ms word 2000 save something to file in the
print menu. i get it all set up and push the OK button..nothing happens..no
file printed where i want it..nothing! the help menu mentions nothing about
'Print to file'. i'd like to use this rather than the printer in some
cases...feedback appreciated on this..

If you have checked the box for "Print to file," you should be prompted for
a filename (a Print to File dialog, similar to a Save As dialog, will come
up).
