Hi all, when I save as or print to PDF from Word 2008, the images in the word doc look TERRIBLE. Any suggestions? I have tried linking to the file, saving the file with the document, etc.. I can't find any consistent way to preserve good image quality.

Thanks,
Jason

Word has problems with jpeg and gif images. save them as png instead.

They will not only look better but will convert to PDF's better

What - exactly - is the image you're using? What are its resolution, print
dimensions & file type? How did you place the image in the file? What
alterations have been made to what you have in the document?

Keep in mind that most any image will look better on screen than it does in
print because printing is a more precise rendering than is display. IOW, low
res images display fine but print poorly, and PDFs get what the print engine
gives them. Also, "stretching" raster images will typically cause them to
become either chunky or banded.
