Print View Gone Mad?

I've recently installed my trusty copy of Word2000 onto a
new machine running XP Pro. This problem has not occurred
before, but in a new blank document (in Print Layout View
only), if I type a line and then hit Return, the cursor
drops right down the page instead of just moving down one
ordinary line. Having dropped right down the page, it
still shows me as being on Line 2.
I've checked every setting I can think of. Anyone else got
any ideas, please? Please e-mail - thanks.

Check file > page setup and see if you have the vertical alignment on the
layout tab set to anything other than TOP!
