Hi,
We have quite a few network printers here and when a user opens a sheet
and then tries to print to their local network printer, it comes up
with an error message saying that there is not enough memory, the
network cable could be unplugged etc. Now, we have found that this
problem can be easily resolved by going to file>print> selecting a
different printer from the drop down list, then going back and
selecting the original printer, excel then goes off and refreshes the
information on the selected printer and hey presto it prints fine. So
every time you open a new sheet it is as if the printer drops off, even
though the printer information is displayed on the print window. This
also means that you cannot use the print icon which most of our users
like to use.
I have been told that this is an known excel bug, is this true? and is
there a patch, update or fix from microsoft?
