Printer keeps f-ing up

Every time I try to use Access to print mailing labels, either it starts
printing at the top of the page (ignores margins) or it prints crookedly.
Printing on regular paper works fine. It's just the labels themselves that
get screwed up. This also tends to happen on other programs using business
cards. What the heck is going on?

sounds like business card/mailing label stock is too heavy for your
printer's paper feed to handle. time to replace that old printer with a new
one, maybe?

Precisely.

I used to rebuild laser printers.

Anomalies like this are *always* for the two reasons you mentioned:
1. The paper stock was either too thick or too stiff for the rating of
the printer
2. Either the rubber drive rollers or the "picker fingers" that grab the
paper are worn.

I think the OP is having the #1 issue, since it prints correctly on normal
paper.

It might be interesting to find out if the OP is using Avery labels, which
are rated for most laser printers, or if s/he is using some other
"off-brand" that is not.

well, the problem occurring across multiple programs, as well as no problem
with "regular printing", kind of made it a no-brainer. ;)
