printer problems

tired and confused

I know nothing about computers except how to operate my programs usually. My
problem is I reinstalld my hp-psc1210v all-in-one printer after getting rid
of the other one I was using (broke) and now nothing prints. I can print a
test page but that's it.

What did you get rid of, an identical printer or a different model?

If it was a different model, did you first install the printer drivers from
the CD that came with the printer, before plugging in the printer to the
computer? In other words, did you read and follow the instructions in the
manual or documentation that came with the printer?

If it is the same model (a replacement) what were the symptoms of the
original unit breaking? Think it could be the same issue for the
non-printing? Possibly a bad driver?

no. it was a different model. all is solved. went to the hp website and they
corrected it. thanks for the input though.
