Printer will not print in any Office Program.

Suddenly my printer will not print in any Office Program but will print from
the web and Adobe e.g. I reloaded Office 2003 and printer software to no
avail.

"Suddenly" implies that it used to work correctly. What changes were made to
your system?

I use Microsoft auto update and sometimes download them w/o reading the
content. Other than that none. I've tried to check just about everything I
can think of again to no avail. My level of computer knowledge is moderate
to low.

Not updated drivers from MS I hope?

I guess I need to be more detailed. Sorry about that.

First, I have auto downloading of MS updates to Windows 2000. I don't
always check what they are for before I install them but I'm not sure that I
would know the difference. (However, I now know how to check.)

I uninstalled both MS Office 2003 and the driver for the Canon i865 printer
and reloaded both from the original disk. I read or heard that a recent MS
updates caused some problems among other things with printing but I don't
know which update and I have many of them installed.

What's really puzzling is it prints from most other programs that I have
tried but not any of the Office ones.
