Looking for help in adding a printer to the chooser in WORD 98 for
mac. I am currently running OS X and have a Canon i865 connected via a
USB Hub. When I select chooser in WORD this printer does not appear.
Any help would be appreciated.

If Chooser doesn't see the printer, then Classic isn't seeing it at all and
it has nothing to do with Word, none of your classic applications will be
able to see it.

I know nothing about setting up printers in Classic, but I imagine you need
to install an OS 9 driver for it? Googling will probably get you some basic
advice on the web.

Indeed! You need to install the MacOS 9 version of the Canon driver.
I checked on their site and they do have a MacOS 9 version :))
