Printing a shared calendar - days with more than 3 all day events

J

Jeremy

We use a SharePoint calendar to help manage when people will be out of the
office. Some days end up having several all day events listed, as multiple
people are on vacation. Viewed in Outlook, days with a lot of events on them
get a little down arrow on the bottom that expands to show all when clicked.

We're having trouble trying to print this. If I set the font size really
small and use a large paper size, I can sometimes get it to fit everything on
there, but 4-5pt font is pretty hard to read. The Outlook Printing Assistant
limits the number of all day events it shows on the calendar to three.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to get a calendar like this
to print properly?

I couldn't resist checking :)

These lines control it:
<SpanningAllDayArea MinSize="0" MaxSize="70" IsUniform="false" Margin="2">
<AllDayAppointment Height="16" Margin="2,1,2,0" Style="SingleAppointment">

Max size in the template I checked (standard month with weeks 02) is 53 - if
I change the maxsize or change the height to a smaller number, I see more
all day events. So... for 5 appointments at 16 points high, I need to use
85 - 16x5+ the margin. 85 maxsize and 13 for the height gets me 6
appointments. 9 is the most the cell in this template holds at 16 height -
but you could reduce the height or margin to get more.

I haven't looked in the template, but you might be able to change it - see
