Printing document with colored background

I have the Office 2007 Home & Student full version installed.

How do I eliminate the white borders around the colored background? Also
when adding decorative borders, how do I get them to print onto the colored
background. At the moment the border prints partially on the colored
background and partially on the outside white border.

What you need is a printer that's capable of full bleed. Not all printers
can do that and some printers require specific settings. I would suggest
that you read the documentation that came with your printer. If you know
longer have it, check the printer manufacturer's website. I'm sure the
manual is available there in .pdf format.
