Printing Envelopes from Word 2003

Louis DeHayes

I now have Office 2003 installed on my XP (SP2) machine. Printer is HP
Deskjet 1220C conncected via LPT1. Everytime I try to print an envelope (No
10) the printer thinks it is an 8.5x11 pieces of paper and sends ink into the
internal void of the printer. Envelope feeds manually, comes out blank...
Print Preview show proper location and orientation of the addresses....

There's a good chance the printer feed position is in disagreement with
where Word is sending the text. In the Envelope dialog (Options... |
Printing Options), make sure that you have the right position selected. If
this doesn't help, try different positions (in the dialog) until you get the
one that works. Counterintuitive, I know. Or see
http://www.gmayor.com/epson_envelope_orientation.htm (although this is for
Epsons, the general principles are the same for all printers, I think).
