printing envelopes

I've read through the problems with envelopes and still have a problem:
the printer always prints on the right side instead of in the center,
regardless of where I designate the "feed method" in page setup. The
envelope feed on my printer is in the center.

OS: 10.2.8
Word 10.1.1
HP LaserJet 1320

I've used envelope wizard, set printer options to "use settings from
your printer."
Then opened up page set-up in the envelope document, under
Settings>microsoft word have set feed method to feed document in the
center.

Then press print, and ... prints on the right side.

I've tried:
1. in print center preferences, unchecking "show printers connected to
other computers"
2. switching the "feed method" in page set up>settings>microsoft to
both the right and left. This has absolutely no effect on where the
envelope is printed.
3. changed format from HP LaserJet 1320 to Any Printer. No effect.

My current work around is the forgo the envelope tool and just create a
document as one user suggested.

Perhaps you should try using Custom... Settings from the Tools | Envelope
dialog, which allows you to tell Word *exactly* how your printer feeds
envelopes, and probably gives you the most control. Then Word will adjust
the envelope to match your printer, instead of your trying to adjust your
printer driver.

On the other hand, it is rather more efficient to create a standard template
than to use the envelope tool every time, if you make envelopes a lot. (I do
not know whether the Tools | Envelope dialog will remember your previous
custom settings, though I think it will.)

However, note that your Word is way out of date, it's now 10.1.6, and
printing issues in the infancy of OS X/Office X took a while to sort out, so
this may be related. Visit mactopia.com for the updater when you have time.
