PRINTING ENVELOPES

HI
I have printed envelopes before with this computer, but now I am having a hard time. I go into WORD and click on 'envelopes' and type in the address and then the return address. I then click on print in the envelope section and instead of an envelope coming up, a word doc comes up and prints out as a word document, not an envelope, even tho I place an envelope in the envelope feeder. It's definitely the document, not the printer. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!!
Susan

There are two page setups.

one for documents and one for envelopes.

type an address into a document highlight the hit Command-C to copy

Next go to tools menu (this applies whether 2004 or 2008).
Locate envelopes. click on envelopes.

next within window that comes up choose Page setup This is not the
same page setup as I main document.

Choose desired envelope type. for business letters in the US its #10
envelope.

choose page orientation. you may have to set, try a test envelope then
go back set a different way then try another.

Once you get set don't ever go back to this again unless you need to
change the envelope type.

Then instead of choosing the print button, choose the button in bottom
right corner. That brings up a preview of the Envelope.

Then choose print from there. You can also save the envelope when in
this window as well. Then when you want to send something else to this
person just open this saved envelope document.
