Printing from a dropdwon menu

When I am in Word, I select file open,then a folder and
then highlight a file. I chose print from the drop down
menu and get the message "The command you selected is not
available from this shortcut menu". If I do the same
thing in Escel, the program hangs. I have always been
able to print using this procedure in Office 2000. Any
suggestion as to what settings are incorrectly set?

Try opening the document first thin hitting print. Good luck.
