Printing from Photo Editor

The problem that i am having concerns microsoft photo editor 3.0 that comes
with Office XP. When opening images and selecting to print them, if you go
through File > Print and change the number of copies to '6' then a reg key
at: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Photo Editor\3.0\Print is created called Copies
which is equal to six. Each time a different number of copies is specified,
the value of that registry key changes respectively unless you change it to
1, in which case the reg key keeps the previous value. The problem comes when
instead of going via the File Menu i just press the print menu icon button.
This sends the image to be printed on my default printer (as it should) but
prints 6 copies rather than one which is what i want. Although i am aware
that the reg key specifies 6, if i go back into the print settings it says
that only 1 copy will be specified. Furthermore, if i then print from this
dialog with the copy field set as 1, the reg key isn't changed to equal 1 and
continues to cause the icon to print 6 copies off each time.
I'm running Office 2002 with Service Pack 3
