printing gridlines in gray

In older versions of excel the gridlines were printed in nice thin gray.
In Office 2008 for mac these same gridlines are printed in a dotted line.
I tried to change is in the prefs and the formatting palet, but the remain
to appear as a dotted line.

Unfortunately this is something that even the updates have no addressed. Why
they're dragging their feet on this I honestly don't know.

The only workaround I'm aware of is to apply thin gray Borders to the cells
using Borders from the Formatting Palette or the Format> Cells dialog.
