Printing handout page numbers??

I print 6-slide/page handouts of my PPT slideshows. My printer
sometimes numbers pages, sometimes not. Where is a control in
PPT to force this, and why is it failing sometimes? PPT 97, Win
ME, hp 722C.

Try this - View/Master/Handout Master then View/Header and
Footer. Select the Notes and Handouts Tab and place a
checkmark in the Page Number box. Choose apply to all.

Thanks - That's sure obscure. The checkmark was already there
when I followed this path but perhaps some files I have don't
have it checked. I'll use this again, and thanks for the info.

You're welcome. An additional thought - also be sure that
the page number placeholder has not been deleted from the
master slide.
