If you are using Outlook 2007, open the message, click on other Actions-Open
in Browser. You can then use the browser print functions to print as few or
as many pages as you want.

That only works for HTML messages. Not a problem, as you can convert a
received message from plain text to HTML. More serious is the fact that only
the body of the message is displayed/printed, without envelope information.
