printing large posters

I'm having trouble printing a 36" x 52" poster on a large
format hp printer WITHOUT tiling? Is there a 'largest
single page size' that Publisher will print to without
tiling? Even when I set the paper size to 36" x 60",
Publisher crops off the bottom 2" or so of my poster and
prints the final 2" on a complete 52" sheet. How can I
print this on one continuous sheet?

Thanks,

Sam

usually the best way to go is to use the printer's rip to scale up something
printed smaller but proportional.

Also most LF pritners won't print to the full width of the laoded
media...but about 3/4-1" less.

We usually convert it to a PDF and then use the "fit to page" option
printing from Acrobat

I've tried the .pdf method, and Pub tiles the pdf
document too. And mact, my publisher page size is much
smaller than my printing sheet size, easily printing the
35" width. It still cuts off the bottom 2" or so even
though the sheet size is much larger than the printed
area.

I have no problem printing this if it's a 48" long poster.

Is my best solution to make a smaller poster and use the
ZoomSmart feature on the hp printer software to make a
larger version?

Thanks,

Sam

lol.....

don't use publisher.

save it as a PDF, or something and place it in a program
that will work that way, like quark.

I use Flexisign's "Production Manager" to drive my Encad. And I'd rather let
it do the scaling than feed it full size PS, PDF, or bitmaps.

just make sure your smaller size is proportional. (anhd that your bitmaps
have appropriate resolution, normally for LF output between 100 and 150
pixels/inch @ reproduction size.

It tells you in the HELP file what the largest size for your version of
Publisher.
