Printing my preferred default style - can someone help please.

I am really tired of repeatedly wasting 4 pages with a week to a page
because I have forgotten to change to 1 page with the whole month - I nearly
always wish to print my diary in month to each page view.

Is there some way I can configure the print dialogue so that it always opens
with the monthly style instead of the week to a page.

Did you try defining your own print style? or use File, page setup to open
the print dialog? Choosing file, print after changing the outlook view to a
month?

Milly,
Your point is cleverly made and I feel admonished - but not really suitably
admonished - "seldom" is not "always" and I have not lost my urge to bend
the system to my own liking.
After all someone (Lord Bill I always say snidely?) has, in his infinite
wisdom, already decided which view to choose as default. All it needs is the
some technological know-how to modify that default for me in Outlook.
A truly prodigious amount of genius has been applied to make Microsoft Excel
and Word the most customizable programs I know of and I am in awe and
admiration of them. What a shame that doesn't apply to some of the other
programs.
However I thought it might not be beyond the genius of MVP ladies like you
and Diane to devise some solution!! Go on, have a try!

the process. At the present if I click on "Print" and "OK", without any
intervening button, I get a print of the current displayed date in Weekly
style. What I want is for that process to produce the same but in Month to
a page style.
Defining my own print styles doesn't cause any of them to become the default
style; when I next click on "Print" it still defaults to Weekly style. What
I haven't yet tried is re-defining the named "Weekly style" to produce a
monthly view !!!

the default format is dependant on the view - if you view 1 day, it defaults
to one day. Choose 30 days, it defaults to one month. Since it defaults to
weekly, you are using the 7day view.

Ok thanks. You are indeed correct and I do see the logic of that, but I
honestly thought perhaps the default could be changed using Visual Basic or
the like. Is there a VB newsgroup for Outlook to whom I could address the
query, or is there a wish list?

there is an outlook vba group on this server - if you can't see it, try
msnews.microsoft.com for the server or refresh your view.
