printing on 3x5 cards

How do I get Word to command my printer to print onto 3x5 cards (I'm
making a set of flashcards)? I can get word to layout in a 3x5 format;
however, when it commands the printer, for some reason it commands the
printer to print the material as if centered on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of
paper. I can "trick" the program by laying out the material onto only
the upper corner of a full-sized sheet. Then the printer will print onto
the cards correctly. But this is tedious & time consuming. Help!!!!

In Word, File | Page Setup is the place where you tell the printer that you
are using 3x5 paper. Did you set the paper size there?

Are you using the exact driver for your printer?
