Printing out a database diagram

M

Mark McCumber

Last Tuesday I got a temporary job to document an
existing database system. The database was reversed
engineered using MS-Visio Professional 2003. The database
structure has to be placed in a Milatary standard
document, so the page size is 8.5 x 11 inches.

The Visio database drawing is 134" in length, This won't
fit on 8.5 x 11 inch paper. I also can't follow a data
path because Viso doesn't allow you to reverse engineer
an existing database with page size limitations along
with data path continuation in mind to my knowledge.

Does anyone know of a way for Visio to do this
automatically? Right now I'm doing it by hand and it is
time consuming. I have two weeks left to get this drawing
organized for publishing.

Thank you,
Mark R. McCumber

Don't forget that you print any Visio page size at 8.5 x 11 printed paper
.... it'll just have very small text.

Also, you will find the Off-page connector shape on the Basic Flowchart
stencil very useful for creating links between multiple pages.
