Printing page ranges

Gregg

I have loaded on the XP service pack 1a and my office
service pack is on 2. The issue I am having is that some
(not all)documents are having issues printing. I can
print the entire document, or the current page, but not
the page range (ie 66-69). What is really wierd is that
the documents that don't work are ones that were created
prior to loading on the service packs (which I loaded to
solve searching issues). Does anyone know if this is a
bug???

Hi Gregg,

More than likely it isn't a bug. :)

If the document contains more than one section then you also need to
specify the Section number in the Page Range text box.

Place your cursor on page 66 and note the Section number (Sec #) in
the Status Bar and do the same for page 69. If either reflects a
number other than Sec 1 then your document contains multiple sections.

In the Page Range text box you will need to type something along the
lines of:

p66s2-p69s3

Note the above example is for continuous page numbering.

If pages 66 - 69 are contained in a single section then you can
specify just the section number: s2 or for multiple sections use s2-s3

Hi Beth,

I tried your suggestion and it printed out the entire
document. I used : p66s5-p69s5 as all pages are in
section 5. Did I miss something?

Hi Gregg,

Does the page numbering change within the section? For example the
physical page number may be 66 but the page number in the section may
be 2.

Check the status bar to find the page number (Page #).

Hi Gregg,

Glad to hear you worked it out. :)

I agree, it would be nice to have the option of printing pages using
their physical page number and the page/section number.
