when printing a script off of powerpoint can the color
that is the backgroud be eliminated. or turn off?

Douglas,

Try either

View > Master > Slide master
Format background.....make it "white"

or try and select an image that may be on the background of all your slides.
If it is...delete it....then save your presentation under a new name e.g.
FourthQuarter-For-Printing.ppt

Try checking the Black&White box in the print dialogue
window before printing.
