Printing problem

Hello,

I have a printing problem with Mac Office 2004 and Mac OS X 10.4. When I
print in colors with the HP LaserJet 4600, the colors don't print correctly
(it's using bad colors). In other applications, the printer prints fine.
Also, if I print my Word document to a PDF file and then I print the PDF, I
don't have any problem.

Anyone had this bug before ? How can I fix it ?

Thanks.

Hello,

Oups, it's not Office, but only Word. I don't have problem with other
Office applications.

The first place I would look is in the colour table ...

Word cannot handle more than 24-bit colour. If you are sending it 32-bit
TIFFs you will get some very strange things happening.

If you are using an HP printer driver, check that you have the latest
version: HP always seems to take two or three tries to get their driver
right for each printer model.

Cheers

Hello,

I looked at the HP site and they say that the lastest driver is inclued with
OS X 10.4. So no driver upgrade :(

One thing I forgotten to say is that the same document print well on another
Mac with Office version X (and the same printer).

Thanks you.
