Printing selects wrong printer

I have multiple users who go in and out of the same excel
spreadsheet throughout the day. When they choose to print
a sheet out of excel it will most of the time select the
users defalt printer, but there are other times when it
will choose the default printer of another user. This
makes it hard to find out where exactly printouts are
going. Any idea what is causing this or how we can make
sure as users go into excel they will always choose their
default printer?

All users are using Office XP on Windows XP Service Pack
1, Office XP Service Pack 2.
