Printing some slideshow animation in handouts, but not all...

In PowerPoint 2003, I use some animation in text boxes on some slides. I
want some of the text (in a text box) to appear briefly and then dim (or
diasappear), while some text and objects remain on the slide and some new
ones appear (on the same slide in a slideshow). On a slide with multiple
objects and text boxes, I want some animated elements to print on the
handouts, but I want the text box that appears and dims NOT to print in the
handout.

Can I do this without having to delete the text box from the slide before I
print the handout and then have to put it back in the slide for the next
time I present?

Help appreciated. Thanks.
