printing tables without showing gridlines or borders

Michael Swift

On earlier versions of Word I was easily able to hide
gridlines and borders when I printed tables. Now on both
my home and office Dell Dimension computers this does not
seem possible despite trying many approaches.

Has anyone else encountered/solved this problem?

Thanks

Word uses Borders and Shading in its tables. To turn ON,
OFF, or modify select the table and Click...

Format | Borders and Shading | Borders: and select None.

There should be a setting on when you select to print
form the file menu. It gives you the option there of
turning them on or off.

I have an HP with Windows XP and microsoft Word 2002 and
cannot print a layout for a businss card without having
the gridlines show. Clicking "Hide Gridlines" does
nothing. I would like to hear from someone on how to
solve the problem.
