printing text not number

I have a DB with 5 tables, 3 of the tables hold common data that goes into a fourth table to speed data entry (names of students, churches, canned responses to questions). In this 4th table I have built a relationship with the other tables so that when inputing data I can choose an entry from the first 3 tables. Here's the problem: when I go to print a report, I use the wizard, select the fields and sort according to "Church Name" (entries from one of the first three tables), the problem is that instead of printing the text I just get a number (I don't think that it is the ID number). I am very new to Access and am running out of options. Can someone tell me how I can print this report with the text showing?
