Printing Tiffs in Colour using Image Writer

I would like to know if there is a fix for the Microsoft Office Document
Image Writer that is installed with MS Office 2003 to print tif files in
colour.

The only option that you have to print in colour is to use the MDI format
however I need the files to be tif files.

I know that you can convert the files from MDI to Tif but I would like to
know if the printer can print tif files with colour.

Thanks

The "tif" format that Image Writer outputs is "Monochrome images with
fax compression". That is only one of a great many file types that are
named ".tif". It is for fax images and and fax with G4 compression does
not support color. So sorry, there isn't a "fix" for that, it would have
to be an "upgrade".

It is possible to print output in color using Microsoft Office Document Image Writer. I use it all the time to print PDF to TIF.

STEPS:
Go to Print
Choose printer Microsoft Office Document Image Writer
Click on Advaced button (located at the bottom of printer dialog box)
Check "Print as imange"
Click OK to print
