printing to large format printer

I want to work in Landscape but print in Portrait.
Publisher page setup seems to be tied to printer setup.
The banner I'm making needs to be produced in a landscape
mode. The printer (plotter) needs to print in a portrait
mode. When I change orientation before printing, the
intuitive? part of the Page Setup does not automatically
rotate the page, but instead cuts it in half.... kh

Found a workaround! Microsoft please tell me a better
way! Group all the objects on the landscape creation,
rotate them left, redefine paper orientation to portrait,
save file & print! kh

I would set it up how you need it, then link your entire
page together by using your pointer and dragging over your
entire design, then click the link. Then you can use the
rotate button and just rotate your whole design so that it
will print the way your printer is set up. Hope that is
what you mean.

the plotter rip can reorient the page however is needed. all you need to do
is get it out of publisher in one chunk (assuming the image is correctly
oriented relative to the paper)

btw...if you define a custom paper size as 18 wide x 12 high, most drivers
will see that as "portrait" --perhaps this will resolve your issues?

Thus, suppose a 24x36 poster generated with an 18 x 12 portrait postscript
file. rotate and enlarge on the rip. works like a charm. (don't forget the
allow for unprintable margin areas)<G>
