I Did not have a printer attached to my machine so printed to a file. How do
I now print the file?

If the printer driver you used to create the file is now attached to
LPT1, open the command prompt and issue

copy \path-to-file\filename-you-used.PRN lpt1 /b

If you still have the original. Occasionally a laptop in the field may
need to print a "formatted" report and you can dump it to the printer
when you finally attach to it this way.

I occasionally use an old laptop that was given to me. Since I never hook it
up to a printer, I downloaded PrimoPDF for it.That way if I want to print a
file, I convert it to a .pdf and then can either email it to my other
computer or to someone who has a printer or I put it on a floppy. (It still
has Win 98, non-SE. No burner, no card readers, etc.)

this is yet another good reason to upgrade to Office 2003 because it
comes with Microsoft Image Writer that can act as a printer until you
have access to one!!

I also have adobe Acrobat professional which does the job as expected.

My laptop is old. It won't run Win XP, ergo, no Office 2003. I just bumped
it up to a maxed out 96MB of RAM about a half hour ago. (A fellow MVP had an
old SODIMM lying around collecting dust.)
