There is quite a lot of new stuff:
- Managed time periods (can lock down time periods for timesheet users)
- Build Team functionality in Project Web Access
- Windows SharePoint Services replaces SharePoint Team Services (provides document check-in and check-out, versioning, scales much better)
- Risk Management Functionality
- Multi-Value Outline Codes makes skills matching of resources work better and is easier to administer.
- Integration with Outlook means task owners can update their project manager about the status of their tasks right from Outlook
- Sample data now ships wth Project Server so you can try out features
- The Project Server database can be partitioned to improve throughput for larger deployments
- More documentation is available
- On-line help and newsgroups are available right from the Project desktop
