Pro 2007 showing old 2003 custom fields in project information

We recently installed project server 2007, created new custom fields and then
manually migrated the 2003 projects (from PS 2003). Now the old 2003 custom
fields show (no lookup table info) as well as the new 2007 custom fields in
project information on project pro. How do I get rid of the old fields?
They do not show up in PWA. Thanks.

Hi
When you manually migrated, do you mean you saved the PS2003 file as an MPP,
and then imported this? If so, when you saved it, did you selec the radio
button which says "Save Project with Currently Global Items", as this will
save the enterprise codes with the project, and thereby potentially import
them. No idea how to get rid of them though :(

I saved the project as a 2003 mpp and then opened with pro 2007 and saved to
the server. I did not select that radio button. The values did not carry
over, just the field names. Wierd.

Renee and Ben --

I have also seen this behavior and reported it as a bug in Project Server.
Quite frankly, I have no idea of how to get rid of the extra fields. I was
able to eliminate the problem by saving the .mpp project first as an Excel
workbook file using the Export Wizard in Project 2003, and then importing it
using the Import Wizard in Project 2007. It was a lot of extra work to go
to, believe me! Hope this helps.

Thank you. It is enough to have verification that it is a known bug to
Microsoft. It will eventually be addressed in a SP I am sure.
