Prob uploading FP 2000 to server

Extensions has been installed to the server, but I get an
error message after it tries to copy the files "frontpage
cannot read server parse. Make sure extensions has been
correctly installed..." The server has checked several
times and everything is okay on their end. I have also
uninstalled and reinstalled FrontPage.
I have Office 2003 XP and am using FrontPage 2000 though.
Could this be part of the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could the actual error emssage be:

The server sent a response, which
FrontPage could not parse.
