Problem after uninstalling Office 2004 test drive

After unistalling Office 2004 test drive, double clicking on office files no
longer automatically open the appropriate office application. Does anyone
know how to fix this, short of reistalling Office v.x?

Have you tried standard OS X file assignment? Select an Office file in
the Finder, choose File/Get Info, and in the Open With pane, choose the
v.X application. Click Change All.
