problem connecting PWA outlook add-in with server

I have a Project server 2007 installation and I have succesfuly installed and
used the Project WEB Access Outlook Add-in in several stations both with
Outlook 2003 and 2007. In two stations (one with outlook 2003 and one with
outlook 2007) the add-in fails to connect with the server giving a message
"Unable to contact project server at http://xxxxx/pwa/.". In the same
workstation the Project Professional works ok with the same server.
Trying to configure the url (in the tools/options/project web
access/advanced options/enter login information) the error message using
<Test Connection> is "The Project Server URL seems to be invalid. Please
check the spelling of the Project Server URL."

Any help will be appreciated

Hi,
A have been able to integrate Outlook with PWA in the sense that Project Server/Web Access tasks appear in respective Outlook Inboxes but I am unable to modify and update task data(% work complete etc.) back onto to PWA site from Outlook.
Any info on this?

I had a similar problem which I managed to sort out. The issue was that I
had was the user I was using for Outlook did not have access to the PWA site.
There also was a issue. I had not setup explorer to automatically login in
the trusted site (custom level for trusted site)

thylocene's post helped me out.

I had the same problem here, and the solution was to setup Internet
Explorer's Trusted Sites security settings (Tools->Internet Options-
Security->Trusted Sites->Custom Level->User Authentication (the last
option))

Hi i tried this solution but it doesn't work for me...
the add-in is installed on a remote machine which is on internet and is not
a part of domain i m trying to access project server from this remote machine
using add-in and i m getting this pop the "the project server URL seems to be
invalid." where as i m able to login using IE and Project professional to
project server from this same remote machine.
I noticed one more thing when i click on test connection in add-in three
errors are logged in remote machines event viewer in a sequence.

1) Soap error: XML Parser failed at linenumber 0, lineposition 0, reason is:
Access is denied.
2) Soap error: Loading of the WSDL file failed.
3) Soap error: One of the parameters supplied is invalid..

any help would be appreciated
Thanks
